How to get rid of sharks?
On Raft, the sharks reappear regularly and can jeopardize your adventure. Indeed, these predators will not hesitate to attack you, if you are in the water, or inflict damage to your raft. So, from the start and throughout the adventure, you have to deal with them. However, there exists several ways to temporarily get rid of sharks, on Raft.
Distract the sharks
First, know that it is quite possible to distract the Sharks. In case you are playing rafting in multiplayer you can attract the shark at a more distant place, by diving into the water, and thus save time for your teammates. However, this solution is temporary and involves risks, as you will probably have already understood.
Second, use shark bait can also be a solution, if you need to move away the shark for a certain time. To do this, you will first need to have unlocked this crafting plan. But rest assured, you’ll get it pretty quickly. In order to manufacture shark bait, you should have: 2 ropes and 2 fish (raw herring or raw castagnole). Once in your possession, throw the bait as far as possible. This will occupy the shark, for a moment. Again, this is a temporary fix.

In order to gain more time and avoid attacks from these predators, the easiest way is to kill them. To kill a sharkyou must have a lance. For example, the wooden spear, available at the start of your adventure, requires you to have 8 planks and 3 ropes. You’ll get Rope from Palm Leaves, while you can scavenge Wooden Planks, quite easily, from the ocean. Qu is not a word’a shark attacks your raft, you can then inflict damage with the spear. Be careful though, this tool has a durability gauge and will break after several uses.
After multiple attacks, the shark will eventually die. From then on, you will have a little time before the appearance of a next shark. For example, if you want to explore the underwater recesses of an island, it is best to kill the surrounding sharks before diving.
