The viscous substance is an important and necessary resource to make several constructions or useful items, on rafting. So, in this guide, we tell you how to get it easily and quicklyabout the survival game from Redbeet Interactive and Axolot Games.

Collect seaweed

Before making viscous substanceyou will first need to collect the raw material, linked to this resource, either seaweed. On raftingyou can recover Algaewhen you explore island reefs. Here’s how to do it: after landing on an island, dive into the ocean and look for large green plants. It is via these aquatic plants that you will be able to obtain algae.

We recommend that you collect, each time, the maximum possible, when you are on an island. Throughout your adventure on the game, you will need viscous substance in order to craft different items, such as flippers or bottles, to name just these two examples.

Use the foundry

Once you own Algae, return to your raft and head to your smelter(s). On this subject, if you do not know how to unlock and / or craft the foundry, know that we have concocted a guide for you.

If you do have a foundry on your raft: all you have to do is place a seaweed in the foundry. Don’t forget to supply the foundry with wooden planks, if needed. After a few seconds, you will be able to recover a viscous substance. All you have to do is repeat the operation as many times as necessary.

Note also that in some cases, chests or crates may contain viscous substances. Thus, during your progress on raftingyou will also have the possibility of obtaining the viscous substanceand, without having to make it from an algae.
