What happened?
FBI agents raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club on Monday. The raid began Monday morning and lasted until after 6 p.m. local time. Agents are said to have taken more than a dozen containers. The circumstances are still unclear. In principle, a search of the property of an ex-president requires authorization from the highest level of the Justice Department. A spokeswoman for Attorney General Merrick Garland has declined to comment.
