No trains were running on Saturday morning between London and Paris, announced Eurostar, the operator of the railway line which connects the British and French capitals.
“Due to an infrastructure problem on the high-speed line near London, we are forced to cancel some trains to or from London on Saturday 30 December,” Eurostar says on its website.
Eurostar blames these cancellations on flooding which hampers traffic in a tunnel located between St Pancras station and the town of Ebbsfleet.
