Rainbow parade in Vienna – Two young people in custody after attack plans

After a possibly planned Islamist attack on the 27th Rainbow Parade in Vienna, two suspects have been taken into custody. The alleged perpetrators are only 14 and 17 years old. A third suspect was released from custody.

According to a spokesman, the court does not assume that there is an urgent suspicion of a crime. The older brother of the 17-year-old (20) was able to leave the St. Pölten prison, to which the three boys had been admitted. The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the suspected Islamists on the grounds of terrorist association and criminal organization. St. Pölten is responsible because the two brothers live there. The 14-year-old suspect lives in Vienna.
