Ramaphosa reappointed as South African president

CAPE TOWN (Reuters) – Cyril Ramaphosa was re-elected for a second term as South Africa’s president on Friday after winning a majority of votes in the National Assembly.

The outgoing president won 283 votes to 44 votes for Julius Malema, leader of the opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
