Ramattra Overwatch 2: Why is this new character creating so much hype?

First appeared about 3 years ago during the event Storm warning (Storm Rising) in 2019, RamattraOmniac of his state, arrives very soon in Overwatch 2.

A very special Tank?

“A veritable war machine, Ramattra laid down his arms to arm himself with a shield in order to protect his people and promote peace in the world. His ideals are not far removed from those of Zenyatta, his monk friend from Shambali” reveals Blizzard’s press release.

Ramattra has two distinct forms: the form Omniacbase, and form Nemesis. The second — which he will take when his ultimate, Annihilationis activated — will allow him to equip himself with two additional arms, and of course, different abilities.

Omniac and Nemesis

In his Omniac form, Ramattra fires projectiles using his scepter and his “Void Accelerator” ability, but they can also deploy shields defensive in the form of a barrier. He can also be seen creating species of anti-gravitational vortices that knock enemies to the ground in the gameplay video at the top of the article.

In his Nemesis form, which he will therefore trigger with his ultimate, Ramattra summons nanobots that do damage to enemies while reducing those inflicted on the hero. He can use his fists to launch ranged attacks, but he can also absorb a fair amount of enemy damage.

If the arrival of a Tank is not necessarily essential for the players, that of a Tank Tempo who can attack and knock down enemies who flying can be interesting.

Ramattra will be available at the same time as Season 2, December 6 next. However, it will be necessary to acquire the Battlepass if you want to test the new hero.

The next character to join the Overwatch 2 roster has just been revealed via their Origin Story during the OWL Finals. Find out more about Ramattra, hero number 36.
