Less than 24 hours is the new Rammstein song “Zeit” on the market and the corresponding video on Youtube online – including number one in the music trends and already almost three million views. The video by director Robert Gwisdek (38) and the song of the Neue-Deutsche-Härte-Heroen seem to have fully met the zeitgeist and the taste of the fans.

Especially under one Link on the official Facebook page The band is full of praise, recognition and incredulous amazement regarding the new work, which will be completed on April 29th with the album of the same name “Zeit”. Under the post headed with the song line “After us there will be before”, a fan comments on the video and the song, for example, as “masterpiece”. Others use words like “brilliant,” “incredible,” or “brilliant.”

“Zeit” video in typical Rammstein look

“One always thinks lyrically Rammstein has gotten everything out and then they come around the corner with such a masterpiece,” writes another fan to the post. In the video, singers Till Lindemann (59) and Co. address the transience and the inevitable end of every human being. The video was directed by the son of actors Michael Gwisdek (1942-2020) and Corinna Harfouch (67).

Robert Gwisdek, for whom it is the first major music video as a director, relies on the typical dark Rammstein look – paired with borderline scenes such as the detailed depiction of the birth of a human being. Gwisdek, also known as a hip-hop artist under the name of Käptn Peng, was previously best known for his acting roles in cinema and TV films such as “NVA”, “Neue Vahr Süd” or several “Tatort” thrillers.
