Un timetable: always very early in the morning. A modus operandi: a cord, a link, a scarf, an armbar, anything that can actually allow you to strangle your victims from behind to drag them by force to isolated places. But prey of all ages, of all social situations, of different appearances. Dino Scala, nicknamed the “rapist of the Sambre”, named after this tributary of the Meuse straddling the Nord department and Belgium, has admitted, since his arrest in 2018, around forty rapes and sexual assaults. Sent back to the North Assize Court from June 10, he will actually answer for 56 facts. Born in 1961, he now faces twenty years of criminal imprisonment, according to the principle of non-accumulation of sentences which applies in French law.
