A range of processors the “ass between two chairs” with its Raptor Lake base and the shadow of Meteor Lake.

Unveiled last July, the complete listing of the Raptor Lake Refresh range was confirmed at the very beginning of the month with, as a result, the complete description of all the characteristics of the different chips.

Meet on familiar ground

To know everything about the Raptor Lake Refresh range, we only need two key pieces of information. The first is the detail of the performances of these processors which hardly seem to change the Raptor Lake recipe.

The second will have an impact on the first since it is quite simply the launch date of this 14th generation Intel. Until now, all the rumors were pointing to an arrival at the end of October… Well, this almost seems to be confirmed with the latest clarification gleaned by Wccftech.

Our colleagues thus evoke two dates. October 16, 2023 concerns the official announcements around the Raptor Lake Refresh range while the next day – October 17 – is the end of the testing embargo and the launch of sales proper.

A “partial” date

We will therefore have to wait a little more than a month to know whether, yes or not, Intel has mainly sought to occupy the field with Raptor Lake Refresh, but it is nevertheless appropriate to make a reservation about this double date.

Indeed, there is no question for Intel of launching its entire range at once and this October 17 only concerns six Raptor Lake Refresh models. We are talking about the K and KF series, those whose CPU multiplier coefficient is unlocked. Let us recall in passing that the K and KF series differ in that the second does not have a graphic solution.

Initially, we will therefore be entitled to the Core i5-14600K/KF (14 cores), Core i7-14700K/KF (20 cores) and Core i9-14900 K/KF (24 cores). It is good to point out that, of course, this date of October 17 is not yet really official – even if the sources are reliable – and that the rest of the range should be launched in early 2024.
