The first ones processors 14th generation Intel will not be remembered. Will this second salvo be more interesting?
While Intel’s marketing managers are on a war footing with the imminent launch of the Meteor Lake generation, we have news from the previous range.
Indeed, if last October we were able to test the Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K and Core i5-14600K, it was only the first wave of these Raptor Lake Refresh. The rest is coming…
Intel 14th gen completes January 8
In reality, it even arrives earlier than expected since we were only expecting this second salvo during the first quarter of 2024, at most during the month of January.
According to the latest information from our colleagues at VideoCardz, things would happen even before the opening of CES. The major electronics show in Las Vegas will be held from January 9 to 12 and it is therefore on the 8th, the day before, that Intel would have the idea of marketing the second part of the Raptor Lake Refresh line-up.
In its message on
No less than 18 new CPUs expected
January 9 at 7:00 a.m. Beijing time or January 8 at 3:00 p.m. to match time on the west side of the United States. In France, the launch would therefore be effective between the two, at midnight sharp.
In addition to this “chronological” indiscretion, ECSM_Official takes the opportunity to give some technical indications and confirms, for example, the CPU-Z and Cinebench R23 scores of some of the expected models.
Core i3-14100
- CPU-Z Single Thread: 730.4 points
- CPU-Z Multi Thread: 3,624.8 points
- Cinebench R23 Single Core: 1,742 points
- Cinebench R23 Multi Core: 9,091 points
Core i5-14400
- CPU-Z Single Thread: 759.1 points
- CPU-Z Multi Thread: 6,630.9 points
- Cinebench R23 Single Core: 1,773 points
- Cinebench R23 Multi Core: 16,074 points
Core i5-14600
- CPU-Z Single Thread: 837.7 points
- CPU-Z Multi Thread: 9,395.4 points
- Cinebench R23 Single Core: 1,992 points
- Cinebench R23 Multi Core: 22,768 points
Beyond just the performances displayed, note that this second round of Raptor Lake Refresh processors will allow us to taste chips that are significantly less energy consuming than the “K” series with a PBP displayed between 30 and 65 watts. In total, we expect to see 18 new CPUs arrive.
