No more RARBG. In a post on the site, the platform says the past two very difficult years have made it impossible to maintain services. It was one of the largest illegal download sites in the world.
The sites that left their mark on the web in the 2000s and 2010s are currently going through a real slaughter. After the end of Zippyshare last March, it’s RARBG’s turn to go out of business. If you have been interested in illegal downloading in recent years, this name means something to you. Created in 2008 by Bulgarian developers, it quickly became one of the pillars of the sector, attracting tens of millions every month.
But the adventure is now over. If you attempt to visit the site today, you will be greeted with a sober farewell message, explaining the decision of its administrators. “The last two years have been very difficult for us”, write the latter. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the team behind the platform hard, claiming several lives while others are still suffering from symptoms of the disease.

The war in Ukraine has not helped matters, with several members having been sent into combat – on both sides, the message states. The deathblow was dealt by inflation, especially the price of electricity in data centers which made it impossible to keep pace financially. So it’s really the end for RARBG and for the thousands of download links that the site hosted.
Well almost. Indeed, a developer working on GitHub recently published three .txt files containing approximately 267,000 magnet links, which still allow downloading of films and other content previously offered on the site. However, we do not recommend using it.
If it is probably not necessary to recall it, it should be noted however that this practice is always perfectly illegal. Moreover, it is currently difficult to ensure with certainty that the integrity of these links are secure. Malicious individuals were able to take the opportunity to slip links to malware and other fun things that could harm your machine.
