Last month, Ratata Arts and Hiroyuki Kotani, the creator of the games Pataponrevealed ratatan, a title then very mysterious, but we had an appointment in the coming days to find out more. Well, it’s now done, Ratatan offered himself a first trailer of gameplay :
ratatan will be so a rhythm and strategy game in which players will control the actions of an army of ratatan, each of the four main buttons corresponding to a musical phase, the goal being to alternate in rhythm between movement, defense and attack to advance in the level. A title that will include mechanics of roguelike and which will be playable in solo as well as in multiplayer, up to four people.
As expected, Ratata Arts launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds to develop ratatanand it is already a success with almost €460,000 obtained out of the €127,164 requested. For €44, players can participate in financing and obtain a digital version of the game at its release in April 2025, or a physical version for €53, with access to the beta. For the moment, ratatan is expected on PC, but the developers intend to offer it on modern consoles as well, without specifying which ones.
