A premier platform for lovers of the seventh art, myCANAL is once again pulling out all the stops by already making available one of the most beautiful gems of recent months: The Fabelmans.

Released in February 2023 in cinemas, this latest production by Steven Spielberg instantly became a classic in his great filmography. From the height of his 76 years, the filmmaker who we no longer present here signs a sumptuous work, which could not be more personal because evoking his life, his passion, and what led him to become one of the greatest names of the cinematic landscape.

A true declaration of love for cinema and an ode to the pursuit of one’s dreams, The Fabelmans alone summons numerous references to Spielberg’s other films, and takes us into a whirlwind of emotions, from laughter to tears, from amazement to amazement, during 2h31 that we don’t see pass by.

And if this multi-awarded feature film, rocked by the music of John Williams, and carried by Gabriel LaBelle, Michelle Williams and Paul Dano, was unanimously unanimous among the public and the profession, it could nevertheless never have exist.

THE FABELMANS ALMOST NOT EXISTING

In Steven Spielberg’s mind for many years, The Fabelmans was not obvious to him, who almost never followed through on his project. “Ie remember that I was already preparing to work on this feature film when I was directing Lincolnin 2012. As it was a very personal film, I began to doubt”, he admitted.

It was surprisingly the Coronavirus pandemic that prompted Spielberg to put his work into images. “I believe that Covid-19 was the trigger. The future of our world was in jeopardy. I found myself with my back against the wall, telling myself that it was time to face my fears..”

We didn’t know how the film industry was going to survive and I told myself it was now or never. I am very proud of this film, which brought me closer to my family and united me even more with my sisters.

The Fabelmans, a fabulous film, to watch and rewatch for a thousand and one reasons, now on myCANAL.
