Do you have money to invest but your regulated savings accounts are at the ceiling? If you want to choose a risk-free product offering better remuneration than Livret A, the term account is a good option. Discover the best offers of the moment here.
You already have several savings accounts such as a Livret A and a Sustainable and Solidarity Development Account (LDDS) at the ceiling and you would like to continue putting money aside. No urgent need to recover your savings and the desire to benefit from a rate close to that of the Livret A, frozen 3%?
It might be time to look into the term account (CAT). This is an investment that you guarantees an interest rate over a fixed period. According to the latest statistics from the Banque de France, the average remuneration of term accounts over a period of up to two years is 3.92%, a record for more than 10 years. An average remuneration significantly higher than that of bank accounts which is 0.89%, even if the latter can reach up to 5% thanks to the boosted rates offered on certain accounts.
Livret A and LDDS on the ceiling? Open a term account with a super rate locked in now
like regulated savings and bank accounts, the term account does not present no risk of capital loss for the client who keeps the money invested until the pre-established term. Be careful though, the term account presents certain constraints. First of all the entry ticket depends on the bank or broker selected. While at Distingo Bank, the initial investment is 1000 euros, or 3000 euros at Monabanq, you will need to place at least 10,000 euros at placement-direct.fr or 50,000 euros at BNP Paribas and La Caisse d’pargne Ile-de-France.
Furthermore, unlike Livret A, LDDS and other regulated savings, the interest generated on your term account is subject to flat tax of 30% (i.e. 12.8% income tax + 17.2% social security contributions). Finally, if you wish to recover your savings before the fixed deadline, the remuneration will be modified downward.

The best term accounts of the moment
What is your investment chance? This is the first question to ask yourself before choosing your term account.
For a duration of 12 monthsthe term account Distingo Bank happens to be the best on the market. And this, even if it does not offer a boost rate. Distingo Bank benefits from gross remuneration of 3.50% (before tax). The entry ticket is 1000 euros and the saver can invest up to 100,000 euros. Only one condition must be met to benefit from it: hold the Distingo bank account, which pays 3.34% over one year (4% for 4 months then 3%). Online banking BoursoBank offers a fixed-rate remunr term account of 3.25% gross over 12 or 18 months.
Placement-direct.fr also offers term accounts ranging from one year to five years. But instead of increasing the remuneration over the years, the broker offers a better rate for its CATs on 12, 24 and 36 months (respectively 3.30% and 3%) than on CATs with a maturity of 4 and 5 years (2.70% and 2.80% respectively).
We have refocused our offer on ten months and twelve months, by temporarily eliminating two-year and three-year term accounts, because market interest rates are lower for these durations, indicates Sarah Zamoun, director of Distingo Bank, when asked by The world.
For savers able to let their savings grow for four years, the CAT offering the best rate is the one offered by the platform. Grape. It refers to a term account from the Swedish fintech Klarna Bank which allows you to invest from 500 to 85,000 euros, over an investment period ranging from 6 to 48 months. Over four years, the remuneration reaches 3.34% gross of tax.
Opening a term account today, when rates are very high, is a serious option to study in order to lock in your remuneration throughout the duration of the term account. And with potentially the chance of obtaining a rate higher than that of the Livret A, eventually falling in 2025 with the decline in inflation.
Customers of Monabanq can place their savings in the CAT of the online bank and benefit from progressive remuneration ranging from 2.10% 4.40% over 24 monthsor 2.10% 4.80% over five years. The annualized remuneration amounts to 3%. The saver can invest between 3,000 and 150,000 euros.
Great rates also in traditional banks
Web brokers or online banks are not the only ones offering term accounts. As for traditional banks, if they are less highlighted, offers also exist. We can in particular cite the CIC and his CAT over five years: the saver benefits from progressive remuneration from 2.25% 4.25%, i.e. an annualized rate of 3.25% and an entry ticket which costs only 150 euros. If you have a larger amount to invest, it is also possible to turn to The Ile-de-France Savings Bank which offers a six-month CAT 3.70% (for a minimum amount of 50,000 euros). On the side of BNP Paribasthe term account is remunr 3.80% over three months, 4% over six months and 3.35% over one year (with a minimum payment of 50,000 euros and an unlimited ceiling). But to benefit from it, you must have a current account with BNPP.
