RATP strike: find the latest traffic forecasts for Thursday

RER, metro, bus … On the eve of a day of mobilization scheduled for Thursday, November 10, the company published its latest traffic forecasts on Wednesday.

This Thursday, travelers from the Ile-de-France will have to show even more patience than usual in transport. While the RATP is facing major difficulties in ensuring the proper functioning of its lines, the strike scheduled for Thursday, November 10 will, once again, put users in the embarrassment. In its latest forecasts, published this Wednesday evening, the group thus indicated that the traffic would be “strongly disturbedon his network. Le Figaro takes stock of the situation.

RER: lines A and B affected

In the RER network, the Régie expects traffic “very strongly disturbed“. Traffic will be normal on lines C, D and E.

Then, passengers on line A will have to deal with only one in three trains on average: one in four trains will run at off-peak hours, and one in two at peak times. The first departures will take place between 5:25 a.m. and 5:50 a.m., and the last train will leave earlier, at 9 p.m., at Châtelet.

On the RER B, the situation will also be difficult: one in three trains will run at off-peak hours, and one in two at peak times.

Surface network: around twenty bus lines closed

Tram users will be able to enjoy almost normal traffic, except on line T5, where one in two trains will run, from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Finally, on the bus network, the situation will be disrupted: “On average 2 out of 3 buses will run on the entire network with around twenty lines closed“says the company. The Noctilien will circulate without problem.

Travelers invited to favor teleworking

The RATP invites all travelers who have the possibility to favor teleworking or to postpone their trips on the network that day and apologizes to travelers for the planned transport conditions.“, specifies the company, in a press release. A passenger information plan will also be available on the same day.

Few disruptions expected on the SNCF network

While traffic will be severely disrupted on the RATP network, SNCF, meanwhile, expects little change from normal. The TGVs will run smoothly, and nine out of ten TERs will run in the region, the rail group told BFMTV. In Île-de-France, on line N of the Transilien, two out of three trains will run, still according to the SNCF.

On Thursday, the inter-union of RATP drivers therefore managed to implement a day “Zero metro, zero RER”, in order to put pressure on the company. Objective: to obtain salary increases comparable to inflation. A few hours earlier, the future CEO of the company, Jean Castex, obtained the green light from parliamentarians: this strike can therefore also be seen as a warning addressed to the former Prime Minister.

The same day, the CGT organizes a big day of interprofessional strike, which will follow that, mixed, of October 27th. The central Montreuil also hopes to put pressure on employers as on the government, to snatch wage increases and an increase in the minimum wage. The day is therefore likely to be difficult to say the least in transport.
