During the Nacon Connect last July, the publisher and Passtech Games (Curse of the Dead Gods) revealed Ravenswatch, a rogue lite cooperative which will feature heroes inspired by tales and legends. Players can embark on the adventure up to four and many character classes will be offered.
This week, Nakon reveals the first six heroes of Ravenswatchwith Scarlett, franz, Beowulf, Nyss, Aladdin And Melusineof which here is a detailed presentation:
- Scarlett is a character inspired by the French tale of Little Red Riding Hood. In Ravenswatch, she made short work of the Big Bad Wolf. Like any self-respecting lycanthrope, she transforms according to the day/night cycle and her range of skills changes according to her form. By day, she wields two daggers with agility, while she lets herself be overwhelmed by brutality and her bloodlust by night.
- franz is the Pied Piper of Hamelin. He uses his instrument corrupted by Nightmares to control a horde of rats. Armed with his devastating melodies, he is able to weaken his enemies, while staying a safe distance from danger.
- Famous goth king, Beowulf bonded with a dragonet while trying to save his people from Nightmares. Armed with a heavy two-handed sword, he summons his flying companion to enhance his attacks and block against hordes of enemies.
- Based on the famous tale of the Snow Queen, Nyss loses her healing abilities due to Nightmares. She uses her deadly new powers to glide freely across the battlefield, slowing her enemies and riddled them with spikes of ice.
- Aladdin is the famous hero of One Thousand and One Nights. As his wife finds herself locked in the corrupted lamp, Aladdin takes up arms and battles the Nightmares to defeat the curse. Aladdin is an agile hand-to-hand combatant capable of granting a wish for wealth, life or death to reverse the outcome of a fight.
- Inspired by the legends of the mermaids, Melusine is known to have drowned many humans. As she ends up falling in love with one of them, the Nightmares come knocking on her door. In her flight, she realizes that she is carrying her lover’s child and decides to do everything to save her baby. Armed with a devastating magic orb that she can guide wherever she wishes, Melusine is a ranged fighter, able to dive into the ground to evade her enemies.
These six heroes will be playable from the launch of Ravenswatch on April 6, in Early Access on PC only. Players will be able to explore the first chapter only, it will be necessary to wait until 2024 to experience the full version of the game on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with 10 characters and three chapters in total.
