Rayhanne, rugby player, talks about her experience in Drag Race France (VIDEO): Current Woman Le MAG

Going from virile rugby player to bearded drag queen in two hours: that’s what the members of the Les Coqs Festifs rugby team experienced. For the famous makeover event of drag race, the last competitors of the show had to transform rugby players into drag queens. During the recording of the final of the France 2 broadcast, Rayhanne, one of the players who underwent an impressive metamorphosis, confided in Simone’s microphone. Teaming up with Piche, the bearded gypsy drag queen, he discovered himself as a woman and loved it:testing drag was an amazing experience.

“I found myself beautiful, not beautiful”

After the episode aired on Friday, August 18, 2023, Rayanne received a lot of reactions:I expected congratulations but not thanks. The athlete then quotes the message of someone who decided to get into drag after watching his participation. A win for him. The young man insists on the diversity that exists in the LGBT community: “Yes, I’m gay, but there are many types of gay actually.”

Rayanne adds that every man has a part of femininity and every woman has a part of masculinity. For him, it is necessary to accept it and cultivate it. Rayanne adds: We don’t have to express it though, just accept it. If you don’t want to express it, accept that others do.. A great lesson in tolerance.
