Raytheon: modification of a contract with the USAF

(CercleFinance.com) – Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of Raytheon, announces that it has signed a $5.5 billion modification to the support contract for the F117 engines that power the C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft, a contract previously awarded with the United States Air Force (USAF).

For this contract concerning the C-17s operated by the USAF and eight international partners, maintenance work will be carried out by the second half of 2027, at the base in Tinker (Oklahoma) as well as at the sites in San Francisco and of Columbus, Georgia.

This modification also includes an engine performance upgrade package that will eliminate more than 20 shop visits per year and save the customer approximately $29 million per year in fuel costs.
