Ray’z Arcade Chronology compilation confirmed in the West

Including RayForce, RayStorm, RayStorm NEO-HD, RayCrisis and RayCrisis HD, this compilation of vertical shoot’em up traces a small piece of Taito’s history with PS4 and Switch ports entrusted to the specialists of M2. The saga made its debut in 1994 with the release of RayForce on the Taito F3 arcade machine. The success of the game allowed him to create two successors, RayStorm (1996) and RayCrisis (1998) this time with 3D on the program. It will take 50 euros to get the standard edition for download, which is damn expensive but consistent with the price charged in Japan.

With the complicity of Strictly Limited Games, Limited and Collector’s Editions are already available for pre-order with an assortment of goodies. Sold for 130 euros, the Collector does not pretend and includes a manual, a double-sided poster, stickers, a concert on Blu-ray, the OST on CD, a strategy guide, an artbook and a frame in pixels. The prototype of R-Gear, a canceled game that was to be the successor to RayForce, will even be included in the lot.

Attention, ININ Games does not like to do things simply, as we have seen with the Wonder Boy collections, the publisher will also distribute another compilation called RayStorm x RayCrisis HD Collection. Apart from the fact that it will be commercially available in a box and will cost 40 euros, this compilation exclusive to the West is of no interest since it includes the same games as Ray’z Arcade Chronology but without RayForce.
