Razer announces its Viper V2 Pro, a featherweight 58-gram mouse

Lightweight mice are still on the rise. Thus Razer unveils its Viper V2 Pro, a device to take everywhere and which is especially forgotten in your bag.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is an ultralight 58g wireless gaming mouse. This is its main asset even if it has something to convince also thanks to its other characteristics. Notably the brand new Focus Pro 30K optical sensor which promises a resolution accuracy of 99.8%.

Light but strong

This new Focus Pro 30K optical sensor from Razer is equipped with AI-powered features like intelligent tracking, motion synchronization and light beam cutting. Beam clipping has been improved to support up to 26 granular levels of height adjustment, up from 3 in the previous version. In other words, this customization possibility allows users to set a height that suits their playing styles.

Razer hits hard

This new generation sensor is also supported by the new Gen-3 switches from Razer. The manufacturer speaks thanks to them of the disappearance of miss-clicks and an endurance of 90 million clicks. Which is actually quite impressive even if difficult to verify for a simple user.

Chris Mitchell, head of Razer’s PC division explains:

We’ve carefully considered every gram of the Viper V2 Pro to ensure featherweight doesn’t come at the cost of performance.

We don’t just reduce the weight of the mouse. Esports professionals and the wider gaming community played an important role in the development of the Viper V2 Pro. We’ve taken their feedback into consideration, whether it’s improvements to switches, sensors, or something as simple as optimizing the side button bumps.

This lightweight wireless gaming mouse is now available in black and white for 159 euros. A fairly steep price.
