Razer co-founder Robert Krakoff dies

Razer is a pioneer in the gaming peripherals market, but even before the company was founded, Robert Krakoff had imagined the Razer Boomslang, the first mouse designed specifically for playing video games. The company producing it went bankrupt, so he decided to found in 2005 Razer with Min Liang Tan.

And last week, the firm announced the death of Robert Krakoff, at the age of 81. Nicknamed RazerGuyhe was known to be very close to his community, inserting a message for the attention of the first customers of Razer with his personal e-mail address to get their feedback. Before creating the major company for gamers on PC and then consoles, he had even been a professional American football player in the 60s.

If gamers have peripherals specially designed for video games, it is partly thanks to Robert Krakoff, who will have marked millions of gamers around the world.
