The RazerCon 2022 was full of announcements, with especially the presentation of Edge, a portable console under Android. But the manufacturer also took advantage of the event to present new helmets or even a blue background for videographers. But he still had other things in store.
Razer reveals the special edition Luminor Quarantaa luxury watch designed in partnership with Panerai to preserve the oceans. An ecological jewel of which here is a presentation:
At the previous RazerCon, Razer unveiled its partnership with luxury watchmaker Panerai to save the oceans by calling on fans to “make time for our ocean”. Since then, the two companies have joined forces to support research on marine species with particular attention to manta rays.
It was at RazerCon 2022, a year later, that Razer and Panerai unveiled their special and limited edition, the Luminor Quaranta Razer. The result of the collaboration between the two brands, the watch combines Panerai’s mechanical watchmaking know-how with Razer’s iconic aesthetic. Inspired by Razer’s signature colors, the sandwich dial hand is coated with Super-LumiNova, allowing it to glow luminescent green to match the electric green of the small seconds and strap stitching of the watch. Meanwhile, the three-headed serpent logo is subtly etched on the exterior of the case as well as the dial, while the unmistakable Razer brand name is displayed on the crown guard.
In line with the joint efforts of the two brands in terms of sustainable development, the watch is made from recycled materials and the strap has been designed from PET plastic from recycled bottles. The 40mm case is also made of eSteel, a next-generation metal made from recycled steel and finished with a DLC (diamond like carbon) coating. Finally, the packaging is made from 72% recycled materials.
Only 500 pieces will be available for sale, exclusively in Panerai boutiques and on Panerai.com.
