Razer launches an ultra-lightweight mouse: the Viper V2 Pro


Razer has just announced the launch of a new wireless gaming mouse: the Viper V2 Pro. Its main characteristic is its lightness: only 58 grams.

After the Orochi V2 and the Basilisk V2, Razer has just unveiled a new iteration of mice with the Viper V2 Pro. A new high-end wireless gaming mouse that has the particularity of being light, very light: 58 grams. Undoubtedly, the fashion is currently for mice in compact format.

New sensor and new switches

The main improvements of the Viper V2 Pro are especially at the level of the sensor and the switches. For the first, it is the Focus Pro 30K optical sensor manufactured by Razer: the brand announces an accuracy of 99.8%. She has also equipped it with ” AI-based features like smart tracking, motion synchronization and light beam cutoff“.

Another big improvement then, is on the switches, which are Razer’s Gen-3 optical switches as well. The brand speaks of a “lifecycle of up to 90 million clicks, which is more than 25% increase over the lifespan of the previous generation switch.”

On the other characteristics, we can note that the mouse will be equipped with five programmable buttons: the two clicks, the click of the wheel as well as two buttons on the left side, at the level of the thumb. The maximum sensitivity of the Viper V2 Pro is 30,000 DPI; it will be modifiable without going through a software thanks to a button located under the mouse.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro will have a battery life of up to 80 hours

Who says wireless mouse, says autonomy. On this, the Viper V2 Pro should last up to 80 hours (on a constant movement at 1000 Hz). For recharging, it will be done using a supplied USB-C cable; to connect it, you will need to plug a USB dongle (2.4 GHz) into your computer.

In the box, you will also find additional pre-cut adhesives adapted to the shape of the mouse to fix them on the mouse in order to have a better grip. We can also note the absence of LEDs on the mouse; the design remains gaming, but in a more sober way.
