At CES 2023, Razer presented the Leviathan V2 Pro: a soundbar with a head tracking algorithm, to always follow your movements during your games.
These days is taking place the CES 2023 in Las Vegas, the largest exhibition dedicated to new technologies in the world. Razer is there and has made several new product announcements, including the Leviathan V2 Pro soundbar, the sequel to the Leviathan V2. According to the brand, it is “the world’s first beamforming soundbar with head tracking AI“.
A Razer soundbar for your gaming setup
Soundbars, there are plenty of them, designed for a TV setup, but Razer has been marketing models dedicated to computers for a few years, made to be placed on a desk. The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro is a continuation of previous models, with additional features. It is therefore intended to be compact and simple to install, but it must be recognized that a fairly deep desk is necessary.
On the top, there is a wheel to adjust the volume and turn the device on or off, but also four other buttons to manage the sound. In addition to the bar, a subwoofer is provided, which can be installed under the desk to avoid clutter. The Leviathan V2 Pro also supports Razer Chroma RGB with thirty lighting zones.
Enough to preserve the very identity of the brand: RGB LEDs. They can be synchronized with all other Razer gaming products: gaming headphones, gaming mice, gaming keyboards, etc. What to create effects, scenes, etc.
A soundbar that follows you, to better reproduce the sound
The manufacturer has indicated that it is in partnership with THX for the audio part and Audioscenic for the 3D audio part. He wishes to providea surround soundstage while ensuring users are always in the correct position for the optimal listening experience“.
The Leviathan V2 Pro has an infrared camera as well as artificial intelligence to track the movements of the user’s head. Razer wants to deliver immersive 3D audio by adapting the audio beams based on the positioning of the gamer’s head in real time.
There are also two THX Spatial listening modes:
- Stereo mode with a virtual headset
- Multi-channel mode with virtual speakers simulating a complete home cinema
Razer Leviathan V2 Pro Price and Availability
Razer has announced that its next soundbar will be available from February at a price of 489.99 euros on its site as well as in its physical stores.
