The keyboard family of Razer continues to grow, while the manufacturer has just unveiled recently the BlackWidow V4 Pro, a further improved version of its peripheral for gamers which embeds its latest technologies, multimedia and macro keys, or even mechanical switches designed by Razer.
THE BlackWidow V4 Pro thus has a wheel Razer Command Diallighting Chroma RGB and a whole host of other features. The manufacturer details:
- Control and customization :
The control wheel includes 8 preset modes, ranging from zooming to switching tabs in the browser. Additionally, no less than 100 custom modes can be programmed with the Razer Command Dial and then mapped to the desired commands, depending on the direction of the dial rotation. For daily use, it is possible to program several practical shortcuts in different applications, such as adjusting the size of the brush in Photoshop, juggling from one element to another in the Timeline of an editing software and more. The modes are easily identifiable thanks to their color code, indicated via the backlight, and switching from one to the other is done with a simple click on the dial.
Positioned on the left of the chassis, the five macro keys are easily accessible. They can be used to activate complex actions, which are programmable via Razer Synapse or through on-the-fly macro recording. Finally, 3 other macro keys are ideally placed on the left edge of the keyboard, for a total of 8 particularly practical and accessible macro keys.
- Deeper Immersion with Razer Chroma RGB :
The BlackWidow V4 Pro is designed to offer total immersion, thanks in particular to Razer Chroma RGB. Keyboard lighting can be customized on a per-key basis, with each key benefiting from transparent switch slots to highlight the chosen lighting effects. The keyboard also benefits from 38 distinct lighting zones that extend to the magnetic leatherette palm rest. The immersion is total!
All Razer Chroma RGB compatible devices, as well as third-party Chroma Connect gear, can be synced directly from Razer Synapse. There are over 200 games with Chroma built in, so every light and light effect reacts in perfect harmony with what’s happening in-game.
- A plethora of features :
The keyboard features the new generation of mechanical switches from Razer with the possibility of choosing between two options: green switches with their tactile feedback or yellow linear switches for fast, smooth and silent execution. Both switch variants have been further tested and now support 100 million keystrokes.
Moreover, the keyboard incorporates a plethora of features, such as a conveniently placed USB 2.0 passthrough port, Type-C ports, 5052 aluminum alloy shell, dual-level stands as well as ratio rate ( polling rate) of 8,000 Hz. Finally, the two layers of soundproofing foam and the factory pre-lubricated stabilizers provide better acoustics when typing.
