Priced at €180, the Razer Viper V3 Pro is certainly not aimed at all budgets. However, at first glance, Razer’s new mouse is extremely sober, even sparse in terms of buttons and features. It must be said that the essential thing is not there.

A new Viper Pro inspired by the Viper Hyperspeed

No RGB, only two thumb buttons, a wheel which ensures the minimum, a shape for right-handers very slightly reworked but ultimately quite unchanged… the arguments of the Viper V3 Pro are elsewhere. Wireless, only 2.4 GHz via the USB-C dongle provided by Razer (exit Bluetooth therefore), this mouse offers the best in terms of performance. With its new 2nd generation 35K Focus Pro optical sensor, it can go up to 35,000 DPI. Add to that its most recent optical switches for clicks and a dongle capable of going up to 8000 Hz and you get the fastest and most precise in the industry.

To encourage fans of the brand not to fall for the more reasonable Viper V2 Pro or Viper Hyperspeed, Razer has also taken care of the autonomy of its new mouse. No batteries here, but an integrated battery. Allow around 95 hours with reasonable use at 1000 Hz (a value which unsurprisingly drops off at 5 p.m. at 8000 Hz).

The lightest Razer in the catalog

The other strong point that will interest players is the weight of the Viper V3 Pro. This is slightly lighter than the V2 Pro and displays 54 grams on the scale in black and 55 grams in white. So, aside from the Viper Mini Signature Edition, this is Razer’s lightest mouse. A great performance, especially since it is mainly made up of recycled plastics, heavier than traditional plastics.
