The society Razer just announced the Razer Edge 5G. It is a new portable game console that runs on Android and is able to connect to the 5G network. This is not the first console to be released in this way by accessory manufacturers. There has already been, for example, the Steam Deck of Valve and the Logitech G Cloud in partnership with Microsoft. The main difference with that of Razer is the support of 5G compatibility, which allows the console to be connected to the network independently and at any location.
The brand has two strong supports with the manufacturer Qualcomm and Verizon. The Razer Edge 5G thus embeds the chip SnapDragon G3x Gen 1 of Qualcomm and 5G connectivity thanks to Verizon. The objective of Razer is to offer a powerful game console available everywhere.
Currently, there are not many details about this game console yet. Surely we will have to wait until October 15 for the RazerCon 2022. The console could take advantage of Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth and remember, the 5G connection where of course you will need a 5G package to enjoy.
In the video we can see the logo Xbox indicating that it will no doubt be possible to take advantage of the Game Pass on the latter. So there are only a few days left to wait to find out more.
