Helmets, a high-end armchair or even a blue screen… Here are the main announcements of RazerCon 2022.
Besides the Razer Edge, of course.
Razer loves ears
If the main announcement of this 2022 edition of RazerCon was undoubtedly the Razer Edge portable console, the manufacturer had many other surprises in its bag. Nothing should be expected from the side of keyboards and mice (apart from a few new colors), since this area has already been rich in novelties in recent months. On the other hand, there is movement on the side of the helmets.
First, here comes the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 Pro. Always wired, this headset designed for streaming has interchangeable pairs of ears (cat, bear or rabbit) and illuminated with Razer Chroma. 7.1 compatible and equipped with 50 mm speakers, this helmet also equipped with a removable microphone will be available for pre-order in the fourth quarter of 2022 for 209.99 euros.
Then, Razer is now launching the Kaira HyperSpeed, Kaira Pro HyperSpeed and Kaira X. These multi-platform headsets are mainly designed for the PlayStation 5. The X model is wired and available at 69.99 euros, when the other two are without -wire in 2.4 GHz. Both Kaira HyperSpeed promise 30-hour battery life, while the Pro model adds haptic feedback. What justify its price of 239.99 euros when the classic model is 159.99 euros?
To finish on the audio, make way for the Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed headphones. Compatible with Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.4 Ghz (a USB-C dongle is provided), they are designed to work on mobile phones and on PlayStation and Xbox consoles (with colors adapted to each brand). Also RGB compatible, these headphones promise 30 hours of battery life thanks to the charging case. They feature dual noise-cancelling mics, as well as active noise reduction (ANC). Available next November, they will be charged 179.99 euros.
A few other announcements
Razer has also unveiled a high-end version of its Enki Pro chair. For 1,499 euros next December, you can imagine yourself in the seat of a Lamborghini and in particular enjoy an Alcantara covering.
More reasonable (though), the Blue Screen is a 94-inch retractable blue screen that will allow streamers to do whatever they want with their wall. It will still cost 159.99 euros.
Finally, Razer is launching three new colors (Quartz, Mercury and White) for some of its already existing products. In partnership with Panerai, the brand will also market only 500 copies of the Luminor Quaranta Razer, a watch made from recycled materials.
