Razor launches the EcoSmart Cargo, the brand’s most powerful electric scooter


Razor announces the launch this Thursday, September 8, 2022 of the EcoSmart Cargo, an overpowered electric scooter that looks like an electric bike. With a 1000 W high torque motor, it can reach 32 km/h and has a range of around 27 km.

Razor is known for being one of the leading companies in the market for classic and electric scooters, scooters and even skateboards and ripStiks for children. It must be said that the youngest represent the core target of the Razor range. Nevertheless, with this new electric scooter, the brand wants to address adults.

Indeed, Razor is launching this Thursday, September 8, 2022 the EcoSmart Cargo. This electric scooter represents Razor’s latest attempt to establish itself in the market of electric scooters and bicycles, which has been booming in recent years. It’s simple, this market earned $672 million in 2022, and it should reach $806 million by 2032 according to the latest estimates. In France, we should exceed one million electric scooters and bicycles in circulation in 2022.

Aware of the growing demand in this sector, Razor therefore embarked on the development of EcoSmart Cargo. “The EcoSmart Cargo has been designed to be a stylish and versatile electric scooter option, which can be used in multiple ways, making it easier than ever for riders to get from point A to point B, even with an additional load or passenger”, explains the brand.

As you can notice from the photos provided by the manufacturer, the EcoSmart Cargo sports a sleek design quite similar to that of an e-bike, with a wide base to the ground, an adjustable seat and a convertible luggage rack system that will allow drivers to choose a passenger seat with a small storage compartment, or a large basket. According to Razor, the EcoSmat Cargo can support a maximum load of 136 kg.

The scooter is equipped with a motor of 1000W and a chain transmission that allows it to reach a top speed of 32 km/hfor an autonomy of about 27 km thanks to its 46.8 V lithium-ion battery. 16″ wide wheels provide good grip and optimal comfort according to Razor.

Users can count on a digital speed display (five speed levels are available) and battery. In addition, we note the presence of front and rear brakes, a front and rear mudguard to protect drivers from the rain, while the padded seat is adjustable. As for the bamboo floor base, it incorporates a non-slip strip. The EcoSmart Cargo is available on Razor’s US site for $1099.99. No announcement for the French market for the moment.
