Re-Play Festival 2022: throwback to the 70s, 80s and 90s of the world of video games throughout this weekend

the Re-Play Festival is organized by the eponymous association and has no other objective than that of being able to share, with visitors, a passion for video games of the past. So, even if you will find some shops that will allow you to treat yourself with giveaways or other things, most of the surface is covered by playful and free content. This year, the festival is expanding and there will be a second room filled with nostalgia.

  • SF5 tournaments, Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Kart and many more;
  • Several incredible collections of toys and figure creations;
  • Vinyl stands, lightsabers, etc. ;
  • a highly Instagrammable photocall!
  • Presence of Ghostbusters French Riviera, Back to the Future and artists steeped in Geek culture;
  • Vintage board games, card games;
  • 2 fascinating exhibitions around the history of Nintendo and Scrooge;
  • An introduction to role-playing games as in the good old days!

On the program, the details of which you will find on the next page of this article, there will be many consoles, old or recent, in free access. There will also be tournaments, quizzes, conferences and workshops for children. Several video game schools will be present to present their courses in the field of computer science and video games. On the sidelines of the show, the local cinema is organizing a “Back to the Future” marathon by screening the three films in the same evening!

We will be present at the show with our virtual reality stand which will offer retro and neo-retro VR experiences. You will be able to immerse yourself in the bedroom of a teenager from these years of the golden age of video games in order to play in total immersion with period consoles or even enjoy recent games which take up and adapt the codes of those years in order to offer immersive experiences, modern but so retro!
