Re-Play Festival 2023: “journey to the 70s to the 90s” of the world of video games throughout this weekend

THE Re-Play Festival is organized by the eponymous association and has no other objective than to be able to share with visitors a passion for video games of the past. So, even if you will find a few shops that will allow you to treat yourself with goodies or other things, most of the surface area is covered by retro and fun content. This year, the festival kept its two rooms filled with nostalgia.

On the program, there will be many consoles, old or recent, freely accessible. There will also be tons of competitions, collectors proud to show you their treasures, a tattoo artist, roller skaters, retro clothing sellers and so many crazy things. A video games school will be present to introduce courses in the field of computing and video games. The guests of honor are Jacky, from Dorothée ClubCyril Drevet (journalist) and Gaël Mectoob (Studio Bagel).

We will also take you through the entire world of the 70s to the 90s, to do this we will have stands that will surprise you:

  • Numerous Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Kart and many other competitions;
  • Incredible collections of toys, figurine creations;
  • Stands selling vinyls, lightsabers, etc. ;
  • A highly Instagrammable photocall! ;
  • The presence of Ghostbusters French Riviera, Back to the Future and artists steeped in Geek culture;
  • Vintage board games, card games;
  • A TCR car circuit;
  • An introduction to role-playing games like in the good old days!

GAMERGEN.COM will be on site with a stand dedicated to virtual and mixed reality which will offer retro and neo-retro VR experiences. You will be able to immerse yourself in the bedroom of a teenager from these years of the golden age of video games in order to play in total immersion with period consoles or even enjoy recent games which take up and adapt the codes of these years in order to offer immersive, modern, but totally retro experiences!
