Real intoxication action – alcohol driver and helper lost driver’s licenses

It wasn’t even 10 a.m., but a Romanian (35) was already so “fat” that he ended up driving his car in a field near Wilhering. The 2 per thousand driver had to give up his driver’s license, as did a compatriot who actually wanted to help him, but when the police showed up she behaved like a fury rather than a guardian angel.

The Leonding police were informed on Tuesday at around 9.45 a.m. about an alleged alcohol driver on the L1388 in the direction of Leonding. The vehicle was seen a few minutes later in Hitzing, municipality of Wilhering, standing on the side of the road with the engine running. When they got out, the police noticed another one in the directly adjacent field. The 43-year-old Romanian driver of the car on the side of the road and the 35-year-old Romanian driver of the second car were sitting in the 43-year-old’s vehicle then steered his vehicle to the right into the field. He then asked the 43-year-old woman from Linz to pick him up. A alcohol test at the 35-year-old showed a value of 2.0 per thousand. His driver’s license was provisionally taken away. After several attempts, the 43-year-old refused the alcohol mat test. The helper also had to submit a certificate. When she was informed that her driver’s license had been temporarily removed, she behaved aggressively towards the police despite repeated warnings. She was arrested and escorted to Leonding Police Station. During the entire official act, she repeatedly insulted the officials.
