Reality TV: These shows are anything but trashy

Forget the Kardashians and the Bachelor! We have much better reality TV shows for you on Netflix that are – well – not that trashy and still satisfy our cravings for drama, sensationalism, and pure entertainment.

1. Selling Sunset

Immerse yourself in the world of the rich and beautiful and notice that not only houses and cars but also drama has other dimensions here. What is it about? With "Selling Sunset" the real estate agents of the "Oppenheim Group" sell villas in the Hollywood Hills that you normally only get to see if you have a lot of money in your account. And because the team consists of a lot of power brokers and the real estate market in Los Angeles is fiercely competitive, there is regular cat fights and drama. Jackpot!

2. Say yes!

Have the handkerchiefs ready. Because without a fat family box, you don't even need to make yourself comfortable on the couch. In the reality TV series "Say yes!" help three heartwarming wedding professionals – Jeremiah Brent, Thai Nguyen and Gabriele Bertaccini – to realize the wedding dreams of different couples in a hurry. And we're talking about real fairytale weddings with all the pipapo. So sappy, so good!

3. Queer Eye!

This series is just as loud and colorful as the five men who make the show so unique. Each episode surprises the so-called "Fab-5-Team" unhappy men and women at home and turn their entire lives upside down – from A to Z. The chosen ones get a complete makeover, a new wardrobe and a newly renovated apartment. Anyone who likes incredible before and after effects will love this show.

4. Love is blind

As in so many Trash TV formats, great love is also sought here – but this time in a very special way. While well-known dating shows are usually about looks first, the clue here is that the couples don't see each other on their speed dates – only hear each other. Who said that trash TV always has to be superficial? Only when a couple has fallen in love because of their character and they become engaged blindly (yes, you read that right), the curtain is raised and they see each other for the first time. Will the wedding take place anyway? Exciting!

5. Now is the time to clean up

It's hard to believe, but there is a lot you can learn from reality TV shows. On this new Netflix show, for example, how to clean up. Sounds boring? But it really isn't, because the clean-up experts (Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin) manage to get the unbelievable out of chaotic spaces. And by the way, you learn tips and tricks on how to cope with the chaos in your own place. Practically!
