realme was expected at MWC 2022 in Barcelona for its smartphone announcements, but the manufacturer also intervened in a field where it was not necessarily expected: that of televisions.
realme tries its hand at TV with two screen diagonals
The brand has formalized the launch of two television models in Europe – its first marketed in the territory – both of which rely on a design with very thin borders.
The first TV has a 32-inch IPS screen, while the second has a 50-inch panel, also IPS. The largest model benefits from 4K definition and support for the Dolby Vision standard.
On the audio side, the 50″ realme TV is Dolby Atmos certified, while the 32″ realme TV has a sound system consisting of four stereo speakers for a total of 24 W. It’s very unusual to work so much on the part audio on TVs in this price range.
Both references run on Android TV. Count 249.99 euros for the 32-inch model and 499.99 for the 50-inch one. Of course, you shouldn’t expect sensational image quality from these affordable products.
The realme Buds Air 3, active noise reduction at rock bottom prices
The manufacturer also presented its new generation of wireless headphones with the realme Buds Air 3. They are equipped with an improved active noise reduction technology certified by TÜV Rheinland reaching 42 dB (compared to 25 dB on the Buds Air 2) and they work with AAC and SBC codecs.
These new true wireless are equipped with 10 mm drivers, a windproof function and a dual microphone system with noise reduction for calls. They can also be paired with two devices at the same time via Bluetooth and take advantage of Dolby Atmos.
The brand announces an autonomy of 30 hours including the charging case as well as an IPX5 certification for protection against sweat and rain.
But the best is undoubtedly their price: 59.99 euros, up on their predecessors, but for better performance if the promises are kept.
