Launched 2 years ago, the Narzo range from realme is busy offering sufficient performance for the game, at a very low price. And, for the first time, the new Narzo 50 series is coming to France, starting next week.
The smartphone lineup includes the Narzo 50A Prime, Narzo 50 4G, and Narzo 50 5G.
Narzo 50A Prime: rock bottom price for entry-level
By far the most affordable of the new line up, the Narzo 50A Prime is also the most modest, technically speaking. Also, don’t expect to be able to push your favorite games to their graphic limits.
We are talking here about a smartphone with a 6.6-inch LCD screen and 60 Hz, and which offers a Full HD + definition. The manufacturer also promises great brightness.
This terminal will be powered by a Unisoc Tiger T612. This SoC engraved in 12 nm includes an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and a Mali-G57 GPU. This chip had already been mobilized by realme on its C31 smartphones.
Add to that 4 GB of RAM for 64 GB of storage and a 5,000 mAh battery. In photos, we will count on a wide-angle of 50 megapixels (1 / 2.76″, ƒ / 1.8) and on a duo macro / depth of 2 and 0.3 megapixels. At the front, an 8 megapixel module will be able to draw the portrait.
Narzo 50 4G and Narzo 50 5G: the duo that boosts its game
Their surname suggests that the Narzo 50 4G and Narzo 50 5G are two sides of the same coin. But it’s a bit more complicated than that.
In the interests of cost balance, realme varies a few parameters. The screen, first of all (6.6 inches, LCD), offers a refresh of 120 Hz (180 Hz sampling) on the first and 90 Hz (180 Hz sampling) on the second.
The essential difference obviously lies in the choice of platform. The Narzo 50 4G runs on a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, a fairly balanced but dated chip. It uses an eight-core processor clocked at 2.05 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This model only includes 4 GB of RAM for 128 GB of storage.
The Narzo 50 5G, on the other hand, relies on a Mediatek Dimensity 810 5G, a more recent SoC, but also faster thanks to its CPU clocked at 2.4 GHz. This model will also have 6 GB of RAM by default.
Both smartphones have a 5,000 mAh battery, rechargeable at 33 W. The photo configuration, on the other hand, is slightly different between the two.
The Narzo 50 4G offers more or less the same trinity as the Narzo 50A Prime, with a 50 megapixel wide-angle and a 2 megapixel macro/depth duo. The front camera has 16 megapixels.
The 5G model, finally, only includes a wide-angle sensor with unknown characteristics, 48 megapixels. A secondary module, reserved for black and white portraits, is also included. At the front, however, we go back to an 8 megapixel sensor.
Narzo 50A Prime, Narzo 50 4G and Narzo 50 5G: price and availability
The three smartphones presented here will be officially marketed in France on May 25 on the manufacturer’s official website and at major retailers. They will be available in black and blue colors.
- Narzo 50A Prime: 169.99 euros (4+64 GB)
- Narzo 50 4G: 219.99 euros (4+128 GB)
- Narzo 50 5G: 259.99 euros (6+128 GB)
It was in 2018 that the former vice-president of Oppo created realme. The company, which specializes in the design of smartphones and high-tech accessories, has experienced rapid growth in just a few years. It owes its success to products with a very aggressive quality-price ratio in the middle and entry-level, like what Xiaomi offers. Here we present to you the best realme smartphones of the moment.
