With the realme GT 2 Pro, the manufacturer wants to carve out a piece of the pie in the market for android smartphones
top of the line.

realme confirms its ambitions in the premium segment. On the occasion of the MWC 2022 in Barcelona, the Chinese brand announced the launch in Europe of its GT 2 and GT 2 Pro.

High-end screen and chip

The model to watch carefully is the realme GT 2 Pro, which comes to oppose this year’s high-end smartphones for a controlled price of €749.99. The terminal is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO 2.0 screen with QHD+ definition and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz which automatically adjusts according to the content broadcast.

The realme GT 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the best chip currently available for an Android mobile. Multiple memory configurations are available, with RAM up to 12GB and storage space up to 512GB on the best-endowed version.

Autonomy is entrusted to an imposing 5000 mAh battery equipped with 65 W wired fast charging.

A more affordable realme GT 2

The photo part is supported by a 50 MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor with optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by an amazing ultra-wide-angle module offering a field of vision of 150°, whereas this type of optics generally stops between 110 and 120°, even on premium devices. The last sensor is a micro lens that can magnify the image up to 40x. We note the absence of a telephoto lens with optical zoom – one of the compromises made to be cheaper than the competition.

The realme GT 2 is offered at a price of €549.99. It takes the design of the Pro version and many of its technical specifications, but is ” satisfied of a Snapdragon 888 SoC from last year and a 120Hz AMOLED E4 display.
