Realme offers its Pad tablet in a Mini version

Realme entered the tablet market at the start of 2022 and is doing it again with a model called Pad Mini. A variation of its Realme Pad designed for the smallest hands, but also those who want less clutter.

A little over a month after its presentation and its release in the Philippines, Realme announces the French launch of its Pad Mini. A smaller version of the Pad, its first tablet that went on sale earlier this year.

This new tablet is just as simple in its design as its big sister. What sets it apart is obviously its size. Thus, it has an 8.7-inch LCD panel with a screen definition of 1340 x 800 pixels (HD+ in short). Inside, a Unisoc T616 processor has been chosen, the same at work as in the Realme C35. A chip which will be coupled with 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the variant chosen. A 6400 mAh battery is included, with fast charging at 18 W. This accumulator, slightly smaller than that of the Realme Pad, should allow a slightly faster recharge, perhaps even under the 2 hour mark.

On the photo side, the back of the Realme Pad Mini is equipped with an 8-megapixel module, without flash. At the front, there is a 5 megapixel module. Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and 3.5 mm mini-jack are also on the program. Realme announces a weight of 362 g and a thickness of 7.6 mm. This does not make it the thinnest on the market (especially given its size), but it is still thin enough to hope to transport it easily.

Three versions of the Realme Pad Mini will go on sale starting May 17. The first two, equipped with wifi connectivity, adopt a 3/32 GB configuration for €179.99 and 4/64 GB for €199.99. Finally, a third model compatible with 4G also offers 4/64 GB and is launched at €229.99. Capped prices that compete aggressively with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, for example.
