To start 2024, Hideo Kojima gives news on Death Stranding 2 and his other projects. A real nice surprise coming in a few months?
While we could legitimately think we would have news of Death Stranding 2 during the Game Awards 2023, the father of Metal Gear Solid had other plans. He did go to Los Angeles last December, but it was to talk very briefly about his other game with Xbox. If ADR is a vague concept, despite having explained the initials, know that these are moments where the actors re-record sequences if necessary in a room dedicated to this. The new dialogues aim to replace the originals. But the most interesting thing is in the second part of the message with the allusion to Japanese voices.
For Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima began supervising the recording sessions at the end of December 2018, and the game was released on November 8, 2019. That is less than a year later. However, the timing is very similar except for a few days, so perhaps all is not lost for a 2024 release of Death Stranding 2. A launch in the first quarter of 2025 in the worst case? This is also a hypothesis. On two occasions, we heard two different voices via people associated with the game. One of them mentioned a window in 2024 on his work profile, and the other in 2025.
