Rebecca Mir and Massimo Sinató will be parents in 2021. They spend their last Christmas for two "in a very small family circle".
For Rebecca Mir (28) and her husband Massimo Sinató (39) this Christmas is something very special – the two are expecting their first child together. The couple spends their last Christmas for two "in a very small family circle", reveals the model and presenter in an interview. "We try to make the best of the situation. Between the years we plan to relax and order something at our favorite restaurant around the corner."
The present for her husband Massimo is of course already taken care of. "But that remains my secret," laughs the 28-year-old. She buys some gifts a month in advance, some at short notice. In view of the current situation, Mir is relying primarily on online shopping at local retailers this year and wants to support retailers with it. Together with Visa, she shows how her purchase can make the difference.
Local shops often have "great treasures"
"Visa, for example, actively supports local dealers, which I think is very important right now. It won't be easy for you this year," explains Mir. "It is they who keep our neighborhood so colorful and lively. And we can all make our small contribution to ensure that it stays that way!" Said the taff moderator. "Small, local shops in particular always have some great treasures that are often unique".
And what do I wish for myself for Christmas? "Oh, I'm perfectly happy, but I'm always happy about chocolate and something to snack on – surprises and unexpected gestures are also the best thing." For them, too, Christmas is the festival of love: Spending time with the family and decorating the Christmas tree together. "It has been a tradition at home for years that we decorate it together on Christmas Eve, which is one of the most beautiful moments."
This is how I spent this special year
The reduced contact with friends and family hit her particularly hard this year. "It was just very sad not to visit the grandparents for the time being. In order to still maintain personal contact, I tried video calls with them, which I found really nice." Otherwise, in the past few months, her husband and their dog Macchia have been walking a lot in nature. "And we also tried to keep fit at home. Since I like to read, I got a few books that I wanted to read the whole time and watched a lot of series."
However, there will soon not be so much time for all these things. The model announced his first pregnancy in early December. At the same time, Mir and Sinató shared a photo on Instagram that shows the presenter with a large baby bump and wrote that they were "expecting the most beautiful gift on earth". The couple met at the dance show "Let's Dance" (RTL, 2012) and fell in love. The two have been married since 2015.
