Already known for Army of the Dead, 300, Watchmen: The Guardians, man of steel or Justice League (To €14.99 on Amazon), Zack Snyder got closer to netflix to realize Army of the Deadwhich met with great success on the platform of SVoD. And it is with netflix that he will give life to Rebel Moona science fiction project as ambitious as Star Wars with a woman searching planets for warriors to confront a tyrannical ruler.
The film is still long overdue, it will arrive this year on streaming, December 22, 2023 to be precise, but in a recent podcast by The Nerd CircleZack Snyder revealed thata role-playing game based on Rebel Moon is already in development :
The one thing that I’m really having a good time with, and I don’t even know if I’m even supposed to talk about it, but you know, this RPG we’re doing, it’s literally insane. So immersive, so intense and so huge. We discussed how we could make the game and we just said, let’s go.
All I’m going to say is it was pitched to me because I always wanted to do an RPG, and they were like, ‘We can do it on this scale or we can do it on an absurd scale’ . And I said, “Absurd scale! They were like, ‘Tell us all about the universe, what’s going on’ and I was like, ‘Fine, glad to do that, let’s go all the way.’ It’s going to be the universe completely materialized and it’s going to be really fun.
Zack Snyder says no morethe name of the developer is not mentioned, it is difficult to know if this adaptation will be a real role-playing game for computers and home consoles with the ambitions and the means of a AAAor a simple mobile game like netflix already does.
