Was Rebel Wilson pressured into coming out? An Australian newspaper has now apologized.
Has Rebel Wilson (42) felt compelled to make her new love for Ramona Agruma public via Instagram? The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper has now removed a column about the Australian actress’ relationship. Author Andrew Hornery has also apologized. He explained that he made mistakes in his approach to reporting.
“Very difficult situation”
On Saturday it was in the “Sydney Morning Herald” given an article that has now been removed, according to the Guardianin which Hornery allegedly complained that Wilson’s Instagram post preempted a report. He apologized in his Monday column for his reaction and said he will take a different approach going forward.
Apparently gossip columnist gave Wilson two days on Thursday to respond to his plans to write about the new relationship. It wasn’t a threat, he explained, but he now understands why it might be considered one. After it was revealed that the newspaper had given the actress a deadline, there was a lot of criticism on social media. Wilson then wrote on Twitter on Sunday, she was in a “very difficult situation”. She tried to handle it with dignity, she added.
Actress Shows Off Her ‘Disney Princess’
The actress had posted a picture on Instagram on Friday, which shows her alongside designer Ramona Agruma. “I thought I was looking for a Disney prince…” Wilson wrote. “But maybe what I really needed all along was a Disney princess.” The 42-year-old added two hearts and a rainbow emoji. She also used the hashtag #loveislove (Eng. “Love is love”).
