According to information from some leakers, the small map of Warzone, Rebirth Island would be about to be replaced on the occasion of the launch of season 2.
Aside from the traditional Battle Royale experience on Verdansk or Caldera, Warzone players also have access to a smaller, faster-paced map, Rebirth Island.
With a lobby limited to 40 players and a considerably smaller layout, those looking for faster gunfights and explosive action often flock to the Rebirth playlist.
But unfortunately for all fans of this map, all of that could be about to change, as “some kind of new Rebirth map” is reportedly about to see the light of day, according to famous Call of Duty leakers, Tom Henderson and TheMW2Ghost.
The Rebirth Island map could be replaced in a few weeks if recent rumors are accurate.
The end of Rebirth Island in Warzone?
Only 13 months after the arrival of Rebirth in Warzone, this map could soon be replaced as these leakers claimed during a live on January 27.
“I was recently told that a new card was coming.” said TheMW2Ghost. “It’s a new map and it’s for Warzone’s anniversary.”
However, the exact details regarding this new map are currently rather hazy. We don’t yet know anything about the range of this card or its location.
The leakers are however convinced that it is an original design. They admitted that there is a small chance that this launch is purely a “new themed version of Rebirth.”
All plans seem to be on hold, and TheGhostOfHope, another reputable CoD source, added that the developers aren’t even sure if this new map “will replace or alternate with Rebirth Island.”

Furthermore, even the launch date of this new map still seems to be in question. As Warzone’s anniversary falls on March 10, this could therefore indicate a launch during the Season 2 Reloaded Update.
However, other sources indicate that Season 3 is more likely for a release date.
Since Warzone Season 2 was recently delayed with a new launch set for February 14, Warzone’s anniversary falls in the second chapter of the Pacific Era.
So we just have to wait and see if this new card will arrive during this anniversary or not.
