Warning, a salmonella hazard recall has been published. The affected products were sold in several supermarkets, including Aldi, Edeka and Netto.

The freezer shelf is our friend and helper after a long day at work. But before we open the chest the next time, we should be careful. There is currently another recall due to salmonella and this time it concerns frozen goods. Specifically, it is about herbs that have been sold in several supermarkets nationwide.

Recall of frozen goods from several supermarkets

The recall comes from COPACK Tiefkühlkost Produktionsgesellschaft mbH, it concerns the following herbal mixtures from the freezer shelf:

As reported by the portal "produktwarnung.eu", among others, an inspection by COPACK Tiefkühlkost Produktionsgesellschaft mbH is said to have detected salmonella in the herbs. Salmonella are rod-shaped bacteria that can cause severe diarrheal diseases with abdominal pain, fever and vomiting. However, it usually takes two to three days for the symptoms to appear, so that the cause is not always directly related to the symptoms. If the condition does not get better, a doctor should be seen. In immunocompromised people, the elderly and small children, salmonella can cause more severe disease processes.

The herbal mixtures are said to have already been taken off the market after the recall. However, if you already have them in the freezer, you shouldn't eat them anymore. Customers can return them in the relevant shop and receive a refund of the purchase price.
