Red Dead Redemption: an update that does good on PS5

Last August, Rockstar Red Dead Redemption released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. PC and Xbox One are deprived of it, it must be said that the technical improvements are quite poor and the title is backwards compatible on these platforms. And, of course, it is possible to play it on modern home consoles, Xbox Series X|S and PS5, again thanks to backward compatibility.

Except that, on PlayStation 5, Red Dead Redemption runs like on PS4 (and Switch) at 30 frames per second. In 2023, it’s still a bit shameful, but Rockstar just published a patch 1.03 finally allowing Red Dead Redemption to be played at 60 fps on PS5, via the PS4 version. On the previous console Sonyit’s still stuck at 30 fps though…

If you ever have RDR on PS5, simply launch the game and go to the display options, a line concerning the frame rate appears with the update, to enjoy the game with cowboys smoothly. And if you haven’t given in yet, Red Dead Redemption is available for pre-order at €49.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount And there Fnacit will arrive as a reminder in physical version on October 13.
