Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 Remasters Reportedly Canceled by Rockstar

In recent years, Rockstar has focused on remastering some of its productions. Since 2018 and the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, the starred firm has not released any new game.only new versions for GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, in a special compilation, and for GTA V, obviously, on PS5 and Xbox Series. And we could also have used it for GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption, but Rockstar would have simply canceled thems.

The information is not official, since this project was never made public, but according to Tez, well informed on Rockstar and what is happening behind the scenes, these two projects that had been on the program for a few years were finally canceled for good. This could, in particular, be the consequence of the disastrous release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition at the end of 2021, which received many negative reviews.

If GTA IV, released in 2008, is not backwards compatible on the latest generation of consoles, Red Dead Redemption, released in 2010, is indeed. You will therefore be able to (re) immerse yourself in the adventures of John Marston, despite the fact that a remaster does not seem to be scheduled.

Waiting, we can only hope for an announcement from Rockstar regarding their upcoming planswhether it’s the highly anticipated GTA VI, a potential Red Dead Redemption 3 or even a new license.
