The Red Hot Chili Peppers have canceled hours before their gig in Scotland. The fans are angry – some lose a lot of money.

Just hours before they were due to take the stage at Bellahouston Park, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have canceled a concert in Glasgow.

“Due to illness the RHCP will be unable to perform in Glasgow on July 1”, it says on Twitter on the morning of July 1st. “We are working on rescheduling. Please keep your tickets and wait for an update soon. RHCP love Scotland and are very disappointed not to be able to do the show. Thank you for your understanding,” it continues.

Little understanding in the comments

However, the fans in the comments do not show much understanding for the short-term cancellation. “Do you understand that I’ve now lost money for travel and accommodation? Do you plan to do anything about it?” Writes an angry fan. Many feel the same way, sometimes traveling from other cities for hours and booking hotel rooms.

The father of a teenage girl said: “Unfortunately moving doesn’t help me and my family after spending £1000 on travel and hotel coming from Ireland. To cancel just eight hours before is scandalous. Thank you for breaking a young girl’s heart have.”

It is not known which member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is ill and what the disease is.
