The Red Hot Chili Peppers are going on a major world tour next year. The tour is scheduled to start in summer 2022.

With an entertaining video the Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that they will go on a world tour in the coming year. In the clip, the band members can be seen during a three-minute, fictional news broadcast.

Guitarist John Frusciante (51) will be back alongside Anthony Kiedis (58), Flea (58) and Chad Smith (59). The tour is scheduled to start in June 2022, with appointments in the USA planned for July 2022.

Details should follow shortly

Further details have not yet been released. So far, among other things, it is unclear whether the band will also perform in Germany in 2022. Frusciante announces, however, that the Red Hot Chili Peppers want to travel “the whole world”. Further details are to be published shortly.

The announcement comes on the 30th birthday of the album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”, which features two of the band’s most famous songs, “Under the Bridge” and “Give It Away”. The record was originally released on September 24, 1991.
