To do this, the studio indicates that it has worked on a heavily modified version of the game engine UnrealEngine in order to create high-flying graphic effects. RedMatter first of the name had amazed us by the finesse of its textures, but also by its management of lights, the transparency of materials and the effects of reflection, but here, we will be entitled to something more elaborate, as evidenced by the images of the technical demonstration: optimized and better modeled meta-human models, even more realistic windows, better management of shadows, even more advanced light reflection, etc. The rendering has something to approach what the ray tracing on our big machines. We are also entitled to the management of liquids, particles and always more physical effects.
We underline the feat of the studio, because to have been able to test the first episode, the latter does not have to be ashamed in the face of the declination on computer and proves that the Quest 2 is still a very good machine, if the developers take the time to exploit all its capabilities.
