RedMatter first of the name was – and still remains – an excellent title in VR, even a must. Felt by some as a kind ofescape game and by others more like an adventure game. With RedMatter 2announced at the Meta Quest Games Show 2022, Vertical Robot decided by designing a new adventure rich in narration with very good voice work off and new mechanics of gameplay also offering action. Indeed, not only do you have to face new and challenging puzzles, grab, push, pull and throw objects, but thanks to a new jet packit’s possible to traverse game environments more freely than ever before.
Red Matter 2 picks up where the story of the first game left off. After breaking free from the simulation that held our own minds hostage, our first priority is to escape from the Atlantic Union base. However, we unexpectedly discover a distress signal belonging to an old friend. Determined to come to his rescue, we will have to travel to the far reaches of the solar system to find him. On our journey, we’ll uncover Volgravia’s darkest secrets and confront the unstoppable red matter.
